Traditions Photography is family owned and operated.  Eileen (that would be me) graduated from Saint Mary's College and Michael (my husband) graduated from the University of Notre Dame.  So that means South Bend, Granger, Elkhart, Michigan, and all of the other surrounding areas are very close to our hearts.  Everyone called me a shutter-bug when I was growing up - even when I was five!  In a seven month span while studying in Rome, Italy, I took seventy, yes SEVENTY, rolls of film.  At that point, I started thinking that photography might be the career for me.  When our son Jacob was born, I quit my job, began working from home, and loved it so much that I couldn't keep it from growing.

So, here we are on Douglas Road in South Bend, by UP Mall.  We have 1,800 square feet of studio space.  Our lobby welcomes clients with warm coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.  We have a changing table (with warm baby wipes) for those little ones who may need to make a pit stop.  We have a variety of backgrounds and props, but also welcome any creativity you bring with you.  After your portrait session, you will be scheduled a time to come back and see your slideshow of proofs.  Your proofs are automatically posted online the day you see your slideshow.  A few weeks later (sometimes sooner) you can pick up your finished portraits and custom matting and framing.
